Just like any computer
application, there are certain minimum requirements
that you need to be aware of before starting. In
the following paragraphs, we've broken down the
minimum hardware and software requirements needed for
initially creating the Home or Small Business Inventory, and also for
viewing the finished Inventory Report CD.
Creating the Home or Small Business Inventory
Report CD |
| |
Minimum Hardware Requirements -
Just
about any modern computer system with a CD Writer, a web
browser, and a connection to the Internet. Armed with
these three items anyone should be able to perform all the tasks
needed to enter their inventory details, download the report
file, and create a CD containing their Inventory.
Even if you've never used your CD writer for anything else
before, our instructions can guide you through the entire
process, start to finish.

Minimum Software Requirements -
You'll
need the software to create and burn data CD's (which is
normally included with the CD Writer). You'll
also need an unzip utility (like pkunzip or winzip) to unpack the downloaded inventory
file.

the Inventory Report CD |

Minimum Hardware Requirements -
This
is even simpler... just a PC system with a CD reader and a web
browser. For IBM PC systems, you simply insert the CD and the Inventory Reports are automatically
displayed.
No
need to be connected to the Internet, no special software
required. It doesn't even need to be a specific type of
PC--the Inventory reports can be viewed on Mac's and Linux
systems as well. |

Minimum Software Requirements -
Just about any web browser that supports CSS (includes
Microsoft IE 3, and Netscape 4 and later). |
